Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with experience in community mental health. She trained in counseling and art therapy at the Univeristy of Louisville and has continued to be involved in the art therapy community. Currently, she is the Secretary of the Kentucky Art Therapy Association and is working on becoming a supervisor for LPCA’s. Jennifer has been practicing and continuing training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Rich Is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate graduating from University of Louisville with a Masters in 2019. Rich has worked in a variety of settings with adults and children such as community mental health, psychiatric residential treatment, and outpatient psychotherapy. Rich has experience conducting group and individual therapy with traumatized populations both adults and adolescents.

Lee is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 10 years of clinical practice. He is trained in treating adults, children, adolescents and families. Lee has extensive training in treating addiction and dual-diagnosis, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and IFS. He is also trained in Anger Management treatment. Having practiced in outpatient and inpatient settings for the past 13 years, he is currently working on becoming a supervisor for LMFT's.

Tessa is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Professional Art Therapist. She received her Masters from the University of Louisville in 2014. Tessa has worked in community mental health setting for a number of years assisting adults with a wide range of disorders and has experience in inpatient settings with adults and adolescents. Tessa utilizes DBT, CBT, MI, Supportive and Expressive Therapy techniques. She utilizes these techniques to assist individuals in learning how to confront life stressors, gaining new perspectives, increase emotional regulation, interpersonal and distress tolerance skills. Most importantly, learning how love and take care of yourself in all areas. Tessa has been certified in Cognitive Enhancement Therapy and is a Board Certified Art Therapist. She has experience working with individuals with mood d/o, dual dx, psychotic d/o, personality d/o, trauma, and grief and loss.

Kevin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned his Master's of Education in Counseling & Personnel Services from the University of Louisville in 2012. Kevin is experience working with adults and adolescents who suffer from a wide range of mental health and substance abuse disorders. Kevin has experience working in a variety of treatment settings including: Crisis Teams, Emergency Psychiatric Services, Specialty Medical Clinics, and Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization Units. Kevin has experience working with individuals & groups, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as Dual-Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Programs. Areas of specialty include treating mood and thought disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse disorders, psychotic disorders, life adjustments, behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, grief and loss, and trauma. Kevin is also a LGBTQ and gender affirming counselor with experiencing providing counseling services to individuals experiencing sexual identity, gender, orientation, and transitioning issues.

Jeff provides individual therapy for adult clients dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, compulsive behaviors and trauma, including complex trauma. He began his career as a therapist at Wellstone Regional Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he worked with a variety of patients from pre-teens to elderly adults. Jeff moved into outpatient care at Seven Counties Services (Now known as Centerstone Kentucky), where he worked as a therapist and clinical manager at the agency's adult clinic in Louisville's West End. Jeff is trained in several research-supported treatment models, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback). He does not hesitate to refer clients to other therapists when his skill set does not match their personal needs. Before becoming a therapist, Jeff enjoyed a successful 23-year career as a technology writer and Internet publishing entrepreneur. He currently serves on the board of trustees for the Kentucky Society of Clinical Social Work.

Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a Master of Science in Social Work Degree from the University of Louisville. She has more than 35 years of experience as a therapist in serving adults, children, adolescents and families in Community Mental Health, Adult/Geriatric and Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Hospital settings. Experience include individual and group therapy, needs assessments, treatment of disorders of depression, anxiety, bi-polar, grief and complicated grief, trauma (PTSD), addictions, psychosis, family conflicts, gender issues, stress and attention deficit disorders. She has also provided 25 years of supervision to Certified Social Workers. Nancy has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Techniques. Nancy has had extensive training in anxiety, depression, complicated grief, treatment of child and adult sexual trauma, stress reduction and alcohol and drug addictions.

Kayla is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with experience in community mental health, outpatient services, inpatient services, and school-based services. She graduated with a Masters of education in counseling with an emphasis in art therapy in 2014. She is a trained provider for the Incredible Years dinosaur school program and is trained in parent child interactive therapy, motivational interviewing, and person centered treatment. Kayla utilizes a wide array of art and play skills and specializes in working with young children, individuals on the autism spectrum,children with behavioral difficulties, and childhood adjustment and trauma. She also provides education and support for parents and families to assist children with managing their symptoms and is experienced in the Love and Logic Parenting Program.

Lizzy is a Certified Therapy Dog who specializes in evidence-based canine therapeutic techniques, including the calm acceptance of human affection, always being happy to see you, and behaving in ways that are often cute and sometimes silly. This three-year-old, 60-pound, hypo-allergenic Goldendoodle frequently visits with clients in the Renew Counseling welcome area and sits in on therapy sessions with her adopted father and clinical partner, Jeff Yocom, LCSW. Lizzy is a proud graduate of GRRAND (Golden Retriever Rescue & Adoption of Needy Dogs) and WAGS (Wonderful Animals Giving Support) Pet Therapy of Kentucky. Lizzy and Jeff are a certified WAGS ambassador team, and when she is not helping Renew clients feel relaxed and at ease, she visits with patients in local psychiatric hospitals as a WAGS volunteer.

Stephanie is a certified coding associate and also has a degree in medical billing and coding from Sullivan University. Stephanie has worked in the Medical billing and coding field for 10 years, as well office leadership and administration.

Jodi's practice focuses primarily on treating the underlying trauma that is often the cause of so many mental and physical struggles. She is trained in various trauma treatments, including EMDR, Expressive Therapies, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. Jodi also completed the 12-month certification program in Trauma Treatment developed by Bessel Van Der Kolk. With over 24 years of experience in private practice and community mental health settings, She specializes in working with infertility, adoption and foster care issues.
